The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and to supervise undergraduate and masters dissertations. The person appointed will be expected to conduct original research in appropriate fields and play a lead role in collaborative research projects, leading to high quality publications and grant income. 

This post is related to the teaching of undergraduate / postgraduate courses in the field of Control of Aerospace Systems and / or that of Aerospace Propulsion.

Candidates must have a PhD degree and preferably postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, preferable in aeronautical engineering and mechanical engineering, and excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Knowledge and experience of propulsion and thermofluids are necessary. Experience of supervising PhD and Master students and experience of teaching, tutorial or laboratory work at undergraduate and postgraduate level in an international English speaking institution are preferable. 

Salary will be within the range RMB411,197 – RMB541,469 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of one year starting from September 2020.
