FORWARD COLLEGE is a novel Higher Education Institution designed for bright students who wish to go beyond academic excellence and also nurture their practical, technological, social and emotional intelligences. Our innovative undergraduate programme is described on www.forward-college.eu. Graduate, postgraduate and lifelong learning programmes will be developed at a later stage. 

As a Learning Experience Researcher you will be part of our RD and Design Team in Paris. This team is responsible for  

  • researching on students’ learning experience, leadership development and learning performance  
  • supporting our faculty so that Forward College progressively becomes a new benchmark for teaching excellence 
  • designing new programmes and suggest changes in current programmes.    

The first year in the job could be performed remotely. 

Forward will launch its first campus in Lisbon in September 2021, rapidly opening new campuses around Europe.  

Our science-based approach of teaching is supported by the RD & Design Team in charge of designing the curriculum, evaluating its impact, suggesting innovations and supporting the Faculty, Campus managers and Coaches on its delivery. This Team is at the heart of Forward’s innovative model. 

The position currently opened is for a second member of this team. Reflecting the entrepreneurial nature of this project, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic and prepared to adapt to a changing environment. 

You will be preferably based in Paris and be part of an entrepreneurial team that operates in English.    

Main responsibilities of the Team 

Contribute to the Curriculum Design  

  • Building on the ongoing White Paper, develop a prototype programme for leadership development, including designing the content and the key elements of its delivery model based on a student-centered approach 
  • Manage our innovative Admission Process with the whole Forward Community 
  • Refine and coordinate our 360° Student Assessment System   

Coordinate the Forward Experiment 

  • Design and implement the experimental approach to evaluate the impact of the Programme. This approach should be qualitative and quantitative and engage all stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to the development and innovation of Forward’s Curriculum 
  • Develop Forward’s footprint among the international community of teaching and learning experts (conferences, papers…) 

Support pedagogical excellence and innovation 

  • Contribute to Faculty recruitment 
  • Design, plan and lead Faculty Development and induction sessions 
  • Coordinate the community building of Forward Faculty   

As a member of this team your personal role will be more precisely determined based on your experience, but also on Forward rapid growth.  

Person specifications 

  • Personal passion for learning and development 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Experience of innovative teaching at undergraduate level 
  • A PhD from any field from a top-tier University 
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students 
  • A commitment to working as part of a team 
  • Excellent level of English. Good knowledge of other languages will constitute an advantage.

Package 

  • Gross Salary: 45-50k€ /year
