Techne is excited to offer Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funding for up to 60 PhD students (part time or full-time) for September 2021 entry.
We welcome applications from talented individuals working across the arts and humanities to be based at one of nine higher education institutions in London and the south-east, Royal Holloway University of London, University of Brighton, Kingston University, University of Roehampton, University of Surrey, University of the Arts London, Brunel University, Loughborough University London and the University of Westminster. The world-class research and training environments of these institutions are enhanced by the partnership’s strategic relations with 13 non-HEI partner organisations ranging from The National Archives to the National Trust.
The vision and the training offered by Techne emphasises the interweaving of critical thinking, making, and reflexive action in the craft of research. More information on our areas of study can be found on our website.
Techne is hosting an on-line open evening via Zoom on 30th September 2020 starting at 5.00 pm. This is an opportunity to meet Academics from our institutions in your subject area or from an institution you are interested in studying at. Please register on Eventbrite.
Awards for UK residents cover UK tuition fees and provide a stipend grant at the UKRI rate (with London weighting, £17,285, in 2020/21). International students will also be able to apply for an AHRC funded postgraduate studentship from the start of the 2021/22 academic year. They will be eligible for stipend to support living costs and tuition fees at the UK rate, UKRI funding will not cover international fees set by universities.
