The Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication department houses fashion business courses covering the full spectrum of the commercial side of fashion at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses recruit high calibre students with strong academic and creative abilities and are designed to develop these talents to ensure our graduate’s unique combinations of skills are well suited for the fashion/lifestyle arena in which they will work.
Due to our success and the ever-increasing global reputation of our BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Branding course, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer. You will have the specialist knowledge to teach in the areas of Visual Culture, Visual Analysis, Content Creation and Digital Marketing. You will be up to date with Digital Communication and have a working knowledge of Digital Campaigns and Creative Communications strategies.
Ideally, you will be an experienced academic with relevant subject knowledge, with a focus on the delivery of student teaching and the entire student experience, along with management and administration of the curriculum. You will hold a relevant degree in a related subject area, ideally coupled with postgraduate qualifications or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development. A qualification in the HE sector is also an advantage.
You will possess an excellent understanding of the subject as well as knowledge of the current professional practice within the fashion and associated industries and an ability to communicate this knowledge to others.
As a Senior Lecturer you will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses to further strengthen the team. You will also be required to contribute to a range of modules across the subject area and should be able to offer the required attributes as detailed in the attached person specification.
