Lecturer in Creative Writing in the School of Humanities
Liverpool Hope University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Creative Writing in the School of Humanities. The successful candidate would be required to make a significant contribution to the life of the School, across teaching, administration and research, including Creative Writing at all levels of the undergraduate programme, and potentially teaching for the Foundation Year. We would welcome an ability to also contribute to teaching for other subjects in the School, especially English Literature and Media and Communication.
The School of Humanities is seeking applicants with expertise and experience in any area of Creative Writing, with an ability to be flexible and contribute widely to teaching, but we are especially interested in writers of prose, either fiction or non-fiction. We would also welcome interdisciplinary approaches to Creative Writing: the School of Humanities includes, in addition to Creative Writing, Law, English Language, English Literature, History, IR. Media and Communication, Philosophy and Ethics, Politics, Religious Studies and Theology. The successful candidate should have a PhD, a good publication record and well-developed research plans for the future and will play a key role in the growth and development of Creative Writing at Liverpool Hope.
The post is permanent, subject to the normal probationary period of twelve months.
