1. About Us

Sun Yat-sen University was founded by Mr. Sun Yat-sen and has a tradition of more than 100 years. As a university directly under the Ministry of Education of China and established with supported from Guangdong province, Sun Yat-sen University has become a first-class, internationally renowned modern comprehensive university. It is composed of three main campuses which are the Guangzhou Campus, Zhuhai Campus and Shenzhen Campus, as well as five schoolyards and ten affiliated hospitals. In 2019, China issued the ‘Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Dawan District Development Plan Outline’, pointing out that Hong Kong-Shenzhen, Guangzhou-Foshan, Macao-Zhuhai will be collaborating to enhance overall strength and global influence, and lead Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, the Bay Area to be involved in more international cooperation. The Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau will create an economic system and development model with innovation as the main support to form a world-class urban agglomeration. Sun Yat-sen University is composed of three campuses and five schoolyards, which are located in the three major cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Shenzhen) is one of the first schools built in Shenzhen Campus, whose core and main objective are research focusing in innovative drug development. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Shenzhen) focuses on the innovative drug research, using rapidly evolving modern life sciences and biotechnology to provide new opportunities for pharmaceutical development. At the same time, the development of bio-driven innovative pharmacy Instead of chemical-driven traditional pharmacy, focusing on translational research to drive the output of original discoveries, breakthroughs, world-leading discoveries and technological innovations. The school will focus on the layout and establishment of Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Biopharmacy, Pharmaceutical Analytics, Microbiology and Biotechnology Pharmacy, Chemical Biology, Social Management Pharmacy. The School of Pharmaceutical Science (Shenzhen) is a new school formed by internationally renowned scholars. The academic team comes from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Finland, Singapore, India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and so on. At present, we have established leading academic team who are from Outstanding Disciplines Leaders, National Excellent Young Scholars, candidates of Young overseas high-level talents introduction plan, National Millions of Talent Projects National candidates, Guangdong Distinguished Young Scholar, still waiting for new blood to join in.

Applicants with the following background are welcomed:

Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Biopharmacy, Pharmaceutical Analytics, Microbiology, Biotechnology Pharmacy, Chemical Biology, and Social Management Pharmacy.

3. Qualifications

have obtained a PhD degree ideally within three years; and be an outstanding doctor with comparatively high academic level and strong research abilities at home and abroad.

4. Remunerations and Benefits

1. Salary and Benefits: The University provides generous salary, research start-up fee, talent allowance, and settlement allowance. Talents working in Zhuhai and Shenzhen campuses can enjoy subsidies of the local campuses.
2. Housing Support: Talents can apply for the university's public rental housing. There are 1,200 new apartments in the Guangzhou campus; more than 1,000 new apartments and 1,500 new shared property houses in the Zhuhai campus; and 3,600 new talent indemnificatory apartments in the Shenzhen campus.
