Brief Description of the Role:
The Centre for Applied Education Research (CAER) is a partnership between the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research, the Universities of Leeds and Bradford, the Bradford Opportunity Area, Bradford Local Authority, and the Bradford Research School. CAER aims to use research across the health and education sectors to empower schools to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and young people CAER is currently running a large innovative trial, aiming to improve the identification of Autism Spectrum disorders earlier, and thereby ensuring that children can access the support they need earlier. We are looking for an experienced, organised and confident Senior Research Fellow to take a lead on the implementation phase of this challenging project. The post holder will oversee recruitment to studies, collect accurate data relevant to the research, manage the implementation process, collaborating and coordinating a large group of clinicians across Bradford and York and liaise with research co-ordinators in Bradford and at the University of York. The post holder will ensure accurate and timely data collection, manage and analyse data sets, provide robust, regular and accurate management information to the strategic leadership group, write reports and academic papers, liaise with collaborators across different Universities, attend project steering group meetings, and contribute to future research proposals. They will develop study protocols, manage ethical arrangements, oversee the distribution of assessment tools, and ensure the effective day to day management of the project. This will involve working closely with the CAER Programme Manager, our colleagues at the University of York, as well as the clinicians, researchers, and schools across both Bradford and York.
The post will be based at the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research at the Bradford Royal Infirmary. This is a fixed full-time position for 1 year.
