A bit about the School of Health and Society.

Our School of Health & Society is one of the largest providers of nursing, midwifery and allied health professional education programmes in the UK, known for our track record of collaborating with a wide range of industry partners across health and social care to produce highly skilled graduates with real work experience. We are at an interesting time in the Higher Education sector, there is significant change in terms of oversight, student expectations and changing demographics and we are trying to do things differently so that we stay ahead of these changes. Our connection to industry is stronger than ever and we're proud to have more partnerships with SMEs than any other Greater Manchester University. It's everything we do and the way we do everything.

The School of Health and Society is now looking for a Programme Manager to oversee the School’s learning programme and administration associated with teaching and learning.

So what will the role involve?

  • Manage a team of professional services staff including ensuring adherence to all HR policies and procedures.
  • Support programme and administration teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop the administration and line manager teams by coordinating and delivering relevant training activity relating to programme administration.
  • Ensure compliance with University regulations relating to the programme and student administration, enforcing correct procedural standards with exam boards and administration of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, degree apprenticeships and partner organisations.
  • Contribute to our thinking and be challenging on how Salford can transform the way it addresses equity disparities, embraces diversity and becomes more inclusive.

You will have previous experience within the education sector. While HE experience would be a great match, we are also open to considering applicants from FE who can demonstrate an understanding of education programmes and are now looking to move into HE.

Please note, this vacancy closes at 23:59 on the closing date.

Starting salary for this role is £33,797 per annum.
