The School of Social Sciences & Professions comprises of 6 dynamic subject areas, including Psychology. The School’s portfolio ranges from level 3 to level 7 programmes with many specialist courses accredited by professional bodies such as the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society. There is great potential in the School to increase synergies and develop multidisciplinary teaching and research.
ABOUT THE POST
Applications are invited for a full-time Senior Lecturer in Psychology specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). We are looking for candidates who can lead the MSc Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and make a substantive contribution to the core teaching and research in CBT, Psychology, Mental Health and/or Counselling at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.
We are at present a team of 29 Psychology academics that are passionate about teaching Psychology and Psychological Therapies to a wide audience and are involved in clinical and/or research activities. The Psychology subject area is home to BSc Psychology (including foundation), BSc Counselling and Coaching, MSc Psychology, MSc Addiction and Mental Health, MSc Child and Adolescent Mental Health, MSc Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, MSc Psychology of Mental Health and the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
