We are seeking to expand our virology team with a new post at Lecturer level in the department of Pathobiology and Population Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching across the college’s portfolio of courses and to develop their own virology research group. Current virology research groups at the college study Influenza A, Caliciviruses and arboviruses. You would be based at the RVC Hawkshead campus but would be required to travel to the Camden Campus on occasion for teaching duties.
You should have a PhD in virology and a previous publication track record in the virology field. You should also have experience of teaching students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. Previous experience of online/blended learning would be desirable. The post would be ideal for an ambitious postdoctoral scientist looking to step up to their first permanent academic post. The post is appointed within academic pay scales, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a London Allowance and employer's contributions to pension scheme. Undertaking clinical diagnostic work attracts an additional clinical academic payment/supplement.
