The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a Clinical Group Teaching Facilitator/Portfolio Tutor to join our enthusiastic and committed team. The post is for two days per week on a Wednesday and Friday during term-time to join the Phase 1 MSQC (Medical Skills and Quality Care) Team.
The post holder will facilitate student learning through the delivery of group sessions primarily on the undergraduate MBBS and MPAS programmes in years 1 and 2. They will review, assess, provide support and feedback to students in teaching sessions and as they complete an electronic portfolio.
This will be within the Medical Skills and Quality Care Theme of the course and entail Communication Skills, Professionalism, Portfolio and other Professional Life workshops.
Applicants will have substantial experience of working as a medical practitioner within a clinical setting and will have membership of the appropriate professional bodies, including full registration with the GMC.
Experience of small group facilitation, reflective portfolios and excellent IT, organizational and communication skills are essential.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the Person Specification to be considered for interview. The positions are based at UCLan Preston Campus with some attendance at other Campuses as required.
