Applications are invited for two fixed term Post-Doctoral Research Associates (PDRA's) position in Fellowship Proposal Preparation.  Two posts are available in this round.  These positions are aimed at outstanding engineers and scientists at an early stage in their academic career, that have an excellent academic track record, strong and growing publication record and are seeking to prepare a fellowship application to be hosted by the Department of Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE) and submitted before the end-date of the appointment. The purpose of these appointments is to facilitate the Research Associates to focus on the full preparation of an application for a post-doctoral fellowship (e.g. EPSRC, RAEng, or similar fully funded scheme) that will subsequently be hosted within the Department of MACE.  The area of research must therefore align with existing research activities within MACE. The appointments will provide training and research skills development of the Early Career Researchers.

To be considered for the post, applicants MUST as part of the application process:

  • Submit a CV and,

  • Please note you will need to upload the CV and the 2-page statement as one file under the documents tab.

Applications will be evaluated by the Head of Department (HoD), Department Head of Research (DoR) and a small panel of leading researchers from within the Department.
