We are looking to engage a Senior Analyst with demonstrable expertise relating to the conflict and crisis domain. We are particularly interested in candidates that have a passion for data-driven applied research, with demonstrable expertise as it relates to the security of citizens.

Further, the Senior Analyst will have expertise in business development through public-tender bid and research grant writing. The business development efforts will focus on projects aligned to Trilateral’s mission of addressing societal problems through the combination of socio-technical approaches.

Specific job responsibilities include: 

  • Undertaking a wide spectrum of research for commercial contracts at pace relating to the conflict/defence, security, and crisis sector, particularly as it relates to the security of citizens
  • Demonstrable interest and experience working in an interdisciplinary environment to take a data-driven approach to applied research – leveraging quantitative and qualitative methods to strengthen data collection methods to analyse security, crisis and conflict problems of national and international importance and efficiently communicate the results to end-users through a range of mediums
  • Developing high-quality tender/grant content throughout the end-to-end bidding process that fully explains our offer and meets all customer requirements - ensuring all documentation is of high-quality, accurately completed and submitted on time
  • Support commercial marketing and research-impact efforts in the development of communication materials to varied audiences

What you will need to be successful:

  • Experience in government, academic, or policy analysis settings
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders and related project management experience
  • Prior experience organizing and analysing data and communicating results to stakeholders is desired
  • A proven record of writing winning tenders/commercial bids and/or grants
  • Experience in developing networks for effective partnership and collaboration in tenders and framework contracts
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable capability to write effective, concise and compelling content in English, both orally and in writing
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and to be agile and reactive to a fast-paced environment
  • A Master’s degree or higher in a social or physical sciences or other discipline closely related to defence, human security or crisis management

Location: Open to candidates based in the UK

Salary: Commensurate with experience
