We are seeking to appoint a physical scientist (preferably with a PhD in Physics or related disciplines) with experience on single molecule nanomechanical experiments applied to proteins. The project will investigate the nanomechanical properties of proteins forming the adherens junctions in epithelial and endothelial tissues. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary group in the Department of Physics of King’s College London working on several aspects of mechanosensing and mechanotransduction from the single molecule level. The project is part of the BBSRC sLOLA consortium, held between the University of Bristol, UCL and King’s College London (https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=BB%2FV003518%2F1).
This post will be offered on an a fixed-term contract for 24 months (renewable)
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent
