Overview

Our HR function plays a pivotal role in achieving UKRI&# x2019;s vision. Following a comprehensive review and in full consultation with all key stakeholders, we are implementing a new HR Target Operating Model to transform the way we work, with a focus on strengthening our strategic business partnering capability, modernizing HR operational services and building up our expertise in areas such as careers and talent management, EDI, and leadership development.

We are seeking to recruit a Lead for HR Business and Project Management, who will lead HR’s annual business planning cycle and budget-setting in consultation with budget holders and Finance and provide modelling on future financial projections and scenarios to assist with agreeing plans and budgets.

The position

In this role, you will monitor and coordinate commercial and internal budgeting activities across the HR function and to establish and exercise control over a large HR project and programme portfo lio. You will also develop an HR project management capability/PMO and establish a governance framework, aligned with the corporate approach, to enable the effective management, reporting and delivery of projects to ensure the maximum business impact for the investment made

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • Degree in business studies or relevant equivalent professional experience
  • Project and Programme management experience
  • Strong understanding of HR organisation, policies and processes
  • Experience in complex public sector/government organisational settings
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Able to communicate complex information concisely and clearly in reports.
