Applications are invited for a Senior Laboratory Technician position that has become available in the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Cambridge, UK. 

The successful applicant will work to support the laboratories of Profs. Luisi and Pellegrini, with the aim to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily research activities. Main duties include maintaining stocks of reagents and consumables, looking after equipment items, liaising with suppliers and service engineers and monitoring lab resources including expenditure within a set budget. 

A smaller portion of the time will also be dedicated to work supporting the Structural Biology Research Facilities of the Department. 

This is a challenging but rewarding position that would suit a graduate in Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline, who is keen to gain relevant experience in an academic research environment. 

The ideal candidate will combine an ability to multi-task and to fit in well within international team(s). Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential for the role. Experience with basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques would be highly desirable, although training will be provided.
