UCL Library Services supports learning, teaching and research at UCL and consists of 17 libraries and learning spaces located across London, covering a wide range of specialist subjects. This is a permanent post following the successful completion of the initial probation. This post will be working on site. The post holder will be one of a customer-facing team of library assistants providing high quality, user-friendly customer service for both UCL and external customers in a welcoming environment and in accordance with Library Services’ Service Charter. The post holder will also provide support for all functions and facilities in the library as directed by the Librarian, the Deputy Librarian and the Customer Service Manager.
The post holder will be expected to show a strong commitment to excellent customer service, be able to use their initiative and be an excellent team player. Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving and excellent IT, numeracy and written skills are also essential for this post. They must hold 5 A*-C GCSE’s or equivalent as necessary qualifications.
