The School of Health and Wellbeing sits within the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, which is a large, diverse, and dynamic part of the University, bringing together experts from Allied Health Professions, Public Health, Social Work, Nursing and Midwifery. We are seeking enthusiastic, inspiring individuals to join our successful and highly committed midwifery team. You will join a visionary school to fulfil our aims and contribute to our continued success, and will be dynamic; adaptable; innovative and creative. Integral to our achievements are activities which enhance the student experience through innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies. The team participate in teaching, assessing and supporting pre and post registration multi-professional learners from across the South West of England. Inclusive of this is supporting learners in practice through our academic in practice teams.
You will have a high level of insight into current midwifery practice as well as experience in healthcare leadership, clinical, practice-based education and experience of teaching and assessment in higher, further or continuing education. Knowledge of contemporary theories and concepts that underpin midwifery education is essential.
Applicants must be registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Register.
