Fixed Term - this position is funded until 30th Sept 2022 in the first instance.

A Data Manager post (0.5FTE, Grade 8) has become available in the Whitehall II Study in the Research Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. The main activities will include documenting and curating the new and existing clinical, registry, and survey data, generating data dictionaries, handling data sharing requests and linkage to external data (eg HES).  The post holder will prepare all IG agreements (Section 251, IG Toolkit NHSD) as and when required and manage any information Governance related issues, particularly GDPR adherence. The Data manager will also respond to data queries from collaborators and research consortia. 

The post holder be educated to degree level and have significant data management experience. Familiarity with Access and SQL databases and knowledge of statistical packages such as/SAS/STATA/Python/R is essential.
