The College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Department Administrator within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

This is an interesting and wide-ranging position that works closely with the Finance and Operations Manager and the Head of Department in providing excellent administrative support and proactively responding to daily enquiries from students, members of academic and administrative staff, both by email and in person.

The sucessful candidate will act as the focal point of the department, provide administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Department, prepare reports and take minutes of committees, have overview of the budget, maintain the department website and supervise staff. They will also be very pro-active, able to work unsupervised, show initiative & diplomacy, have excellent diary management skills with good attention to detail, and must have experience of a similar administrative role.
