The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within the NDPH, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. CTSU runs a number of large, international randomized trials into such diseases.

As Lead International Monitor, you will be an authority in the field of monitoring and a major contributor to the ongoing development of innovative monitoring methodology within CTSU. The main focus of the role is to oversee the monitoring teams who conduct on-site and remote visits in hospitals and clinics within the UK and internationally, supervising all aspects of the monitoring activities for the studies.

To be considered for the post, you will have a life sciences degree or a nurse with current UK NMC registration or equivalent experience. You will hold previous experience of working in clinical trials within academia or the pharmaceutical industry and substantial experience as a clinical trial monitor with comprehensive knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and the key regulations affecting clinical trials. 

Exceptional attention to detail is essential to this role, along with problem-solving skills with the ability to think effectively under pressure and show initiative. 

The post is full time (although part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 11th October 2021.
