This University Clinical Research Fellow post is being established to support research into type 2 diabetes with a special interest in chronic complications and screening through primary care.  The post is funded by internal funds within the Clinical Diabetes Department at the University Hospital Aintree (part of Liverpool University Hospitals Foundations Trust (LUFHT)). There will be strong involvement with both academic and NHS colleagues at the University of Liverpool and LUFHT.

You will work under the clinical direction of the Dr Uazman Alam and under the academic direction of Prof. Dan Cuthbertson/Prof John Wilding/Dr Uazman Alam alongside other clinical diabetology/endocrinology/obesity colleagues across the Trust and University. Your principle duties will be research duties with a possible weekly clinic subject to mutual agreement.

All academic staff are obliged to take part in the formal and informal assessment of students as directed by the Dean of School. Staff are also obliged to attend Academic Unit meetings and participate in training courses offered by the School or University.
