We are looking for an enthusiastic Course Leader to lead the MA Interior Design in the renowned Design School in the faculty of Kingston School of Art. As such, for this role, you will be responsible for delivering leadership, high quality teaching, curriculum development and assessment for this exciting postgraduate course. You will be expected to shape the course successfully aiming to provide a distinct MA Interior Design experience, with a focus on industry practices and sustainability.
We are looking for a person with vision and ability to lead, inspire research and develop learning through an industry-focused postgraduate curriculum.
This is an opportunity to work with a wonderful creative team in the Design school’s 3D Department. You will contribute to the teaching, professional engagement and research activities of the Department/School. You will be expected to teach and collaborate with other courses across the faculty to develop the subject discipline of Interior Design.
You will have a profile as an interior designer and have appropriate experience of teaching, organisational structure and research. In this role you will develop the subject reputation and enhance our teaching and learning experience as part of the community of educators, practitioners and researchers working at UG and PG levels across the 3D Department able to build on the trans-disciplinary community culture at Kingston University.
We are looking for an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer with experience and expertise in postgraduate Interior Design learning and teaching.

They are required to be insightful and creative to meet new challenges in a strategic, ambitious and entrepreneurial manner. The Design School is committed to creative rigour in the context of design education, practice, research and enterprise. It is a critically engaged community of design practitioners, educators, researchers and entrepreneurs. The Design School believes that discipline, excellence and knowledge are key to the creation of confident, agile and creative contemporary design practitioners. Thinking and doing underpins design practice across the School –supporting the students as their work traverses disciplines and subjects in defining the emerging roles and responsibilities for designers of the future.
This is a part time (22.2 hours per week) permanent position. We are looking to appoint at a starting salary of £26,768.40 per annum (60% pro rata to £44,614 per annum).
