The College wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Sarah Bulmer. This Volkswagen Foundation funded post is available from 1 October 2021 until 31 March 2022. The successful applicant will analyse life history interview data from the Military Afterlives project and co-author research papers with the project team.

The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.
Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or be nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to critically analyse qualitative data, specifically life narrative interviews, upload and thematically organise data using NVivo software, and collaborate with the research team to produce journal articles for publication.
