An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University of Manchester for the post of temporary Lecturer in Global Health in the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI). We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in medical or healthcare epidemiology, with a particular focus on global health, mental health, infection outbreaks in humanitarian or disaster situations, emergency capacity building and disaster public health response. HCRI is a multidisciplinary institute, and we welcome applications that will be prepared to cross disciplinary boundaries.

This lectureship is a teaching only position aimed at supporting HCRI’s mission in delivering excellent education in global health. It will specifically support HCRI’s expanding portfolio of online and blended programmes and provide expertise to the intercalated iBSc Global Health programme where the Institute teaches national and international intercalating medical students, and the MSc (online) Global Health programme aimed at humanitarian professionals. The post holder is expected to provide high quality digital and face-to-face teaching in the Institute.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons and all appointments will be made on merit. As we are committed to the principles of the Race Equality Charter Mark, we would particularly welcome applications from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community who are currently under-represented at this level in this area.
