About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of Drama provision and be experienced scholar-practitioners with developing research profiles and substantial undergraduate teaching experience. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates with experience of teaching across theatre practice modules who can enhance the department’s teaching provision in the areas of theatre making, devising and acting and directing. The successful candidates will also contribute as appropriate/required  to other designated areas of the undergraduate curriculum, to the administration of the subject area and to sustaining and extending the department’s active research culture.

About you

BA Honours Drama is designed as a broad based programme which engages with creativity, culture and enterprise, and which seeks to bring into contact academic and industry relationships. The programme offers strands of study in ensemble performance, applied theatre, musical theatre and performance analysis and includes modules in performance skills and performance making.  The programme locates practice within a framework of ideas, histories and critical concepts and allows students to strategically acquire knowledge, skills and understanding through active participation in processes of research, performance, reflection and evaluation.
