Reporting to the Research Strategy, Planning and Performance Manager within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences’ Research and Impact Directorate, you will take the lead on a research development portfolio aligned to the Faculty’s strategy, focusing on supporting our Early Career Researchers and other colleagues who require particular support with grantsmanship. With an understanding of the UK research policy and funder landscape and requirements, and experience in developing persuasive scientific writing, you will provide hands on bid-writing support, develop and manage excellent strategic relationships with a subset of the Faculty’s funders, contribute to relevant activities such as peer review co-ordination, and ensure that intelligence and best practice is disseminated through appropriate channels, all of which will support academic colleagues with the creation of high quality applications to address both local health inequalities and global health outcomes.
