Under the direction of the Chief Digital Officer, the first in the University’s history underscoring the importance of digital solutions, IT Services is accountable for bringing the benefits of digital solutions to bear on helping to realise the University’s key ambitions.

The Learning & Teaching Facilities team is instrumental in this, by providing the University community with robust facilities and services to support teaching and learning, and additionally to support events & conferences both on and off the main campuses.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead this team, using your experience and knowledge to define and deliver the technology-led strategies and services to enable the University’s digital ambitions.

The postholder will liaise with other service delivery departments to form, maintain and review strategic partnerships that enable the provision of high-quality learning and teaching space, and associated facilities.  It is expected that the postholder will play a key part in driving and enabling innovation in learning and teaching space across the institution.

Amongst other key attributes, you will:

  • have significant experience of delivering technology-focused services (such as AV support and media production activities) in a Higher Education establishment, or equivalent
  • experience of participating in the design of AV solutions in learning and teaching space (or equivalent), and experience of the procurement of equipment to meet those solutions
