An excellent opportunity has arisen for a research and teaching technician to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team involved with the development of novel tumour-selective therapeutics. The ICT has an international reputation for translational research leading to the identification of novel therapies. The Institute is housed in a self-contained purpose-built facility with dedicated resources for tumour biology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, target validation, drug analysis and proteomics.
The successful applicant will support research and teaching within the ICT by maintaining relevant laboratory areas and assisting with tissue culture and molecular biology projects and research-focused postgraduate and undergraduate teaching. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the associated laboratories.
You will have a Level 3 qualification or higher in a related discipline, with experience of working in a Life Sciences research laboratory. You will have significant experience of mammalian cell culture techniques and have been involved in the maintenance and upkeep of a laboratory.
