Applications are invited for three temporary part-time (50% FTE per week) Research Officers working in the School of Arts, Culture and Language. Three posts are available to work on linguistic attitudes in three speech communities (Wales, Belgium, and Italy). Duties will include assisting the project team in designing a range of behavioural experiments, collecting quantitative data and preparing experimental results for processing and analysis.

Candidates will have a PhD in Linguistics or related subject area. We will consider applicants who are close to completion of their PhD. Experience in quantitative data collection and analysis is required for all three posts, while some knowledge of psychological or psycholinguistic methods and analysis is desirable. Each of the three posts has a language requirement: an ability to speak either Welsh, German or Italian (depending on the role appointed to).

The successful candidates will be expected to commence 3rd January 2022 and the post is available until 31 December 2024.
