Norwich Business School is home to a vibrant, diverse, and engaged academic community, ranked amongst the top 10 UK business schools by the quality of its research output (REF 2014), and intent on providing teaching excellence across its wide range of business and management degree programmes in supporting UEA’s award of TEF Gold status.
Building on its continuing success, the School is seeking to recruit an outstanding academic in the field of Finance. Applications would be particularly welcome from candidates with experience and teaching and scholarship interests in corporate finance, investment management, financial technology or financial services including banking and insurance.
The successful applicant will take an active scholarship interest in their subject. They will also contribute to teaching across a number of degrees and support enterprise and engagement activities. They will join the School’s Finance Group that aims to produce world class academic research with high application impact. Group members are recognised internationally for their contribution to the advancement of financial thought and practice as reflected by their publications in leading journals and the large number of citations these have received. Group members also have an active role within the Norwich Financial Industry Group (FIG), a public/private partnership that promotes and develops the banking, insurance and finance sectors in Norwich and Norfolk.
A good first degree or an equivalent qualification is essential; and PhD (or nearing completion), or equivalent experience – this could mean substantial experience at a high level in the sector, and/or equivalent professional qualification. Applicants must satisfy all the essential criteria detailed in the person specification.
The post is available from 4 January 2022 on a full-time indefinite basis.
