The People & Organisational Effectiveness Division consists of over 50 colleagues who provide a broad range of Health & Safety, Staff Engagement and Wellbeing, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Educational Development services to the University. These services are provided to circa 3400 employees, with some based overseas. Students and visitors also benefit from some of our services and this is certainly the case for Fire Safety.
An influential and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Safety professional to work within the team of other specialist advisors in the central Health and Safety Team at Lancaster University. You will have significant experience in providing fire safety management advice ideally in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.
You will lead, plan and manage the University-wide approach to fire safety and fire prevention in line with current legislation, providing competent advice and guidance on fire safety management matters to all areas of the University. You will also have a key role in developing and promoting a positive fire safety culture.
