The Faculty of Finance seeks to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Accounting, on a Research and Education contract. The role is full-time and permanent with a starting date of 1st September 2022 or soon thereafter.
The candidate will contribute to the research and academic objectives of the School and to academic excellence at City, University of London, in line with the University’s Strategic Plan and supporting strategies.
The successful candidate will conduct high quality research resulting in publications in leading academic journals. They can expect to lead teaching activities and deliver modules in accounting to undergraduate, masters and PhD students. The appointed candidate will also provide academic support and advice to students and promote and develop effective methods in teaching, learning and assessment.
Candidates should have, or be close to obtaining, a completed PhD in Accounting by the post start date. They must have an in-depth understanding of their specialism to enable the development of new knowledge. Ideally, candidates can showcase a track record of delivering high quality teaching.
