We are looking to recruit to an exciting new position of Strategic Partnerships Manager within the School of Science & Engineering at the University of Dundee. The postholder will work closely with the Director of our new Dundee International Institute with Central South University (CSU) in China, to lead on the development and delivery of the Institute. The Institute will attract three hundred students a year onto five joint degree programmes. The postholder will also provide senior strategic oversight to our existing Joint Education Partnership with Northeastern University (NEU) in China.

The role will include the management of communication between both Universities, including managing and leading on the oversight of quality and academic stadards for all of the programmes. They will have relevant experience of dealing with international partner institutions, providing high level support to academic colleagues undertaking international travel and teaching.

Your priorities will include:
  • Design, Implement & Lead on the successful administrative management of the Dundee International Institute of Central South University
  • Provide overall leadership and management of the team in the Strategic Partnerships Hub ensuring an outstanding level of support is provided to students and staff, allocating both staffing and non-pay budget accordingly to the relevant business plans
  • Support the Director in reporting to the School Executive on the performance of the Strategic Partnerships and provide reports on progress toward key project Key Performance Indicators
  • Take a proactive approach to develop new ideas that will enhance the future development and expansion of the relationship with our partners

Who we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the key issues facing higher education internationally and how they relate to both partners
  • Cultural awareness of working in International markets
  • High level skills in interpreting and implementing strategy in line with the strategic vision of a university and ability to interpret and implement University policies and procedures
  • Excellent liaison skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships with a wide range of individuals (including senior staff) within the University and internationally
