Hertford College is a constituent college of The University of Oxford, and a registered charity. The college occupies a central site in Oxford, opposite the Bodleian Library.

Hertford is a friendly yet ambitious college dedicated to the principles of access and equality of opportunity. It is proud of its open and progressive history.  This is an exciting time for Hertford as we approach the 150th anniversary of the refoundation of the college. The Principal, Tom Fletcher, joined the college in 2020 and recently announced Hertford’s vision for the next ten years, which includes ambitious building projects and a continued commitment to access, student support and sustainability. We have a wide-ranging new Development strategy supporting an increase in annual income across the board, and a renewed focus on individual giving is at the heart of this strategy.

The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for the development, delivery, and execution of the Development Office’s regular giving strategy, with the objective of increasing income in this area by 25% in the first instance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and will enjoy building relationships at all levels. You will have experience in either fundraising, marketing, or sales, and feel comfortable using data and working to mutually agreed upon targets. In return, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming community and will directly support our efforts to ensure that an Oxford education can be accessible to all.
