Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Physiology within UCD School of Medicine. This is a full-time position based at the UCD Health Sciences Centre, Belfield.
Working with the other academic staff in UCD Physiology, the appointee will deliver teaching in integrative systems Physiology to students in the Medicine, Biomedical Health and Life Science, Physiology, Biomedical Engineering and Radiography degree programmes. The post holder will maintain and develop the teaching mission of the School of Medicine.
The post-holder will also develop and maintain a competitive programme of externally funded, basic and/or translational research activity in Physiology, which is aligned with the School Research and synergises with current strengths in the relevant UCD Research Institutes and Centres, including the UCD Centre for Biomedical Engineering. The post holder will supervise student research activities in both undergraduate and postgraduate research degree programmes (including PhD, MD and other postgraduate research degrees).

Salary Scales: 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Below the Bar - €34,746 - €60,984 per annum or
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar - €54,849 - €87,724 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
