The University’s award-winning Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions department is seeking to appoint an agile and creative Content Marketing Manager to plan, develop and implement the University’s content marketing approach in line with key student recruitment goals. You will be responsible for guiding the University’s content marketing strategy, facilitating ongoing content planning, managing day-to-day content creation and editing, and reporting on the results of each content marketing initiative.

Based within the University’s Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions department, who take responsibility for the marketing and recruitment to all academic programmes at the University, the role holder will lead a team to develop outstanding marketing content to attract and engage new students to the University. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and the University, you will create and deliver several symbiotic content plans across a variety of channels, ensuring that the content delivered is pertinent to what our audience values at any particular point in their decision-making. You will also take responsibility for developing content-based style guides and toolkits, and managing editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.

You should be a creative copywriter with an editorial mindset, strong proofreading and editing skills, expertise in content marketing and SEO, and an ability to predict audience preferences. Working with a range of staff across various levels, you must have the ability to interpret and adapt academic and technical language into engaging content that can be understood by a wider audience and an ability to work effectively under pressure. You should also be highly organised with good project management skills and the ability to ensure colleagues in your team are working cohesively towards the same goals.

You must be educated to degree level with proven experience of working in a marketing/communications role. You must also have experience of implementing content plans and initiatives that help to stimulate interest in an organisation’s products or services. You should also have had hands on experience of using a content management system.
