The Graduate School is looking for a full-time, fixed-term Administrative Officer to join the team. The Faculty’s Graduate School supports over 500 students who are studying for their doctorates across all the Faculty's academic disciplines.
Joining a team of eight, the post holder will have specific responsibility for students and associated administration for the doctoral programmes in the Southampton Education School and the Southampton Law School, spanning from the recruitment process through to graduation. There will also be an expectation to assist other members of the team as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in higher education, especially those with an interest in the areas associated with higher degrees and research. We are seeking to appoint a well organised, self-motivated and solution-driven individual with the ability to manage effectively their own workload alongside excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills. Candidates are expected to be able to manage competing priorities and activities and be attentive to detail.
It is also imperative that candidates are able to build effective and credible working relationships with students, administrative and academic colleagues and external stakeholders alike and have a flexible approach towards the full requirements of the post.
This post is offered on a full time, fixed term basis until 11/07/2022.
