In delivering this role, you will directly support the Faculty Director of Recruitment in delivering the Faculty’s recruitment plans, and report to the Faculty Recruitment and Outreach Manager.
You will play a key role in supporting student recruitment activities for UK and International markets for the Faculty of Science at the University of Sheffield.
You’ll become a key member of the team, supporting the Faculty’s student recruitment strategy and managing associated events. Your activities will include targeted student recruitment (including school visits and hosting events on campus), managing Faculty Open Days (and other related events), representing the Faculty at external recruitment fairs, interpreting/presenting student recruitment data, and briefing overseas recruitment agents.
The Academic Services Team supports departments across the faculty with all areas of professional services, including learning and teaching, employability, student recruitment and marketing, internal communications and widening participation and outreach. You will work closely with the Widening Participation Officers working in the team.
You’ll collaborate with a range of academic and professional services colleagues, both across the Faculty and the wider University, including Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions (SRMA), and Global Engagement. You will work to develop and enhance the Faculty’s recruitment processes and procedures, and support departments in the development and delivery of their recruitment plans.
