The School of Art, Design and Performance is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, research active and ambitious applicant to the role of Lecturer in Fashion Promotion and Communication.
Recently ranked 7th nationally in The Guardian league tables 2022, Fashion at Bucks has a growing reputation for innovation and individuality alongside technical and creative excellence. Fashion Promotion and Communication is a new area covering a wide range of disciplines relating to fashion branding, marketing and promotion.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding candidate who is an experienced educator with a developing research record, and who possesses specialist knowledge to teach fashion marketing and promotional strategy. They will possess a broad knowledge of the practice and theory of fashion marketing and promotion with specific skills and industry experience in one or more of the following: communication strategies, advertising, marketing and digital marketing strategies, visual merchandising and fashion publication. The appointee will have relevant industry experience within the fashion industry; and will be responsible for ensuring the enhancement and informed relevancy of the course to applied industry and commercial needs. There should also be a willingness to access or develop appropriate professional networks to source opportunities towards an excellent student experience.
