Chief Executive & Vice-Chancellor

University of Northampton

Introduction

At the University of Northampton, we do things a bit differently. We want to break the mould of what Higher Education can be. What matters most to us is ensuring that our students and graduates have the opportunity to make their mark on the world, and that’s why in 2012 we were the first university in the UK to be named as a Changemaker Campus. This is a key differentiator for UoN which puts social impact at the heart of everything we do.

The University of Northampton is a place where innovation and being bold about what we do and how we do it is not only encouraged; it is expected.  We have a sector leading track record of doing new and bold things.  Our new CEO & Vice Chancellor will be expected to keep driving us to be even bolder and ambitious.

Overall Purpose

The Chief Executive Officer & Vice Chancellor reports to the Chair of the Board of Governors and will lead the development and champion the implementation of the next 10 year strategy for the University of Northampton.

Our next Chief Executive & Vice Chancellor will drive the University of Northampton to fully realise the opportunities provided by our new Waterside campus in the heart of Northampton.  The Chief Executive & Vice Chancellor will be expected to lead by example: be a changemaker, be inclusive and embrace diversity, be professional, be collaborative and be proud to motivate and empower the whole University to do things differently and make a difference.
