Registry & Academic Affairs are looking to appoint a talented Senior Manager and are pleased to invite applications from high calibre leaders to join the Registry & Academic Affairs Assessment Team. Our mission is to enable students to experience transformative learning by managing their academic journey; delivering services to enable them to realise their potential and achieve their goals. The role holder will be one of a cross Directorate peer group of colleagues forming the Senior Management Team working within differing thematic specialisms of the Directorate in a focused and collaborative manner.  

We are looking for a collaborative, positive and proactive team player. Someone who is passionate about improving and enhancing standards for the benefit of our students, staff and stakeholders. You will be able to solve problems and to see the bigger picture whilst still paying attention to the detail and always working to high standards. You will lead a large and diverse administrative team and develop a network of contacts helping to deliver the priorities of the Team, Department and wider University. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is a commitment to providing excellent customer service.  

The role holder will provide administrative leadership and management focussing on all aspects of assessment to ensure successful delivery of a customer focused service to students, academic staff, and other key stakeholders. Teamwork, planning and organising skills are essential to deliver the annual student cycle of activities and events relating to assessment.  Working to an Associate Director of Registry & Academic Affairs to contribute to team management, strategic, budgetary, resource and operation planning, policy development and implementation commensurate with a large, multi-faceted team. 

Working with complex systems and processes, the role holder will provide specialist advice and direction within their area of accountability and expertise, as well as ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and business operations. The role holder will liaise, influence, and negotiate with colleagues to develop effective policy and processes, and be required to resolve problems. 

They will also contribute to the continual review, monitoring and development of University wide academic processes to continually improve the service provided to both staff and students in line with the University Strategy.
