We're the UK's leading charity for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of and for which there is no known cure. Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence. But they're not alone. We're here for them. And we're not going anywhere until we've beaten Crohn's and Colitis for good.
This is an exciting new role at the charity as part of a new team to gather evidence and insight to improve our understanding of the experiences of all those affected by Crohn’s and Colitis, including those from seldom heard groups.
You will support the Evidence and Insight Manager in gathering, synthesising and deriving evidence and insight to support the strategic aims of Crohn’s & Colitis UK. You will help to identify the evidence and insight needs of the charity and deliver a programme of work to meet them. You’ll support the delivery of projects and programmes which improve our understanding of the diversity in experience of all those living with Crohn’s and Colitis.
You’ll have experience of gathering evidence and insight, able to work across a range of methodologies with a proven ability to extract insight from complex and varied infomation and data. You’ll be comfortable using quantitative and qualitatitve methodologies and be able to use data to support our aim to become an evidence and insight led charity.
It’s safe to say all our lives have changed since the start of the pandemic and Crohn’s & Colitis UK had to adapt and change as well. We are moving into a period of growth as we put the impact of the pandemic behind us and innovate and adapt further. We are confident the charity can continue to support those who need us, and our new strategy will give us the direction and drive for the next exciting chapter in the charity’s future.
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail (45 minutes from Kings Cross station). Due to the pandemic, we are currently working a hybrid model of office and home working. However, we are also happy to consider applications from those seeking a permanent working from home arrangement.
