Global Academic Foundation (GAF) is a leading academic institution in the Arab Republic of Egypt operating under the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education in compliance with the International Branch Campus Law No. 162 of 2018.
The University of Hertfordshire hosted by GAF is the first full-fledged branch campus of a British university in Egypt that encompass all UH schools and bringing globally accredited Degrees from the UK to Egypt. All degree programs offered at UH-GAF are validated by the University of Hertfordshire and quality assurance and enhancement mechanisms all mirror those at the University of Hertfordshire. The University is growing rapidly and currently has thirteen undergraduate programs all of which are developed with input from industry to ensure that our graduates are highly employable.
We are now seeking an outstanding individual to join us as Dean of the new School of Humanities and Creative Arts. Responsible to the Provost, you will be a key member of our Senior Executive Team and will contribute to the academic and corporate leadership of the University as we move forward with our Strategic Plan 2021-2026. You will provide visionary leadership for a School which currently offers 3 undergraduate programs validated or undergoing validation by the University of Hertfordshire: Mass Communications; Digital Media Design; Interior Architecture and Design. We have state-of-the-art facilities devoted to the delivery of these programs and aimed at providing students with a stimulating creative learning environment.
The Dean will build the reputation of the new School of Humanities and creative Arts, contribute to maximize student recruitment to these programs, oversee the efficient and effective management of School resources, identify opportunities for new programs that will be attractive in the local and international market and provide students in the School with an outstanding teaching, learning and research led experience.
You will have a higher research degree and excellent academic track record preferably with experience internationally and in the creative arts industry. The Dean will have an inspirational leadership style and the energy to ensure the School of Humanities and Creative Arts reaches its full potential. You will have proven ability to manage and motivate academic staff, deliver financial sustainability, and to drive forward engagement with a range of external stakeholders facilitating strategic partnerships with companies operating in the communication and creative arts space and student internships.
