This is a career-defining opportunity at the heart of a department that is inclusive and forward thinking. You’ll join a group of academics who are behind a varied programme of research-led teaching, workshops, seminars and forward-thinking studies that combine research-based teaching and practitioner experiences.
You will plan, deliver and assess a range of modules across both UG and PG courses. Research is a key part of our make-up and you’ll supervise research students and undertake your own research challenges.
The person appointed will make a significant contribution to the development of the Department of Management as well as being directly engaged with its research and lecturing activities. As such, they should have good leadership qualities and skills, and be able to communicate and work effectively with other academics within their own and other disciplines.
You will hold a master’s level qualification and have a track record of industry relevant experience. If you haven’t already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition, you will be required to do so before the end of your probation period.
You will use your experience of working in Human Resource Management or Organisational Development to promote integrated professional practice across everything you do, imparting practical knowledge to students that they will take with them in their future careers.
Constantly seeking to improve, you’ll scrutinise your own work, build private and public sector networks, and work collaboratively to enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles.
