About the Role
We are looking to appoint an experienced Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in Antibody Engineering to work alongside Prof Angray Kang. The Kang lab applies recombinant antibody technology to study the adaptive immune system and more recently to develop diagnostic tools with a particular focus on anti-drug-antibody detection.
Essential requirements for this post include a PhD in relevant biological subject with substantial research laboratory experience and knowledge in recombinant protein production and characterisation. Appropriate publication records are expected. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records is also essential.

Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Barts Health NHS Trust and the Centre for Oral Immunobiology and Regenerative Medicine at QMUL each have an international reputation for basic and translational research as well as clinical excellence. The Post-Doctoral Research Assistant will work in the Centre for Oral Immunobiology and Regenerative Medicine in the Blizard Institute at Barts and The London Medical School. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to organize and motivate others. They should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and innovation when faced with challenges and will utilize management skills in conducting the research

The post is based at the Blizard Institute Whitechapel in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years, with an expected start date of 01 December 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 5 in the range of £38,655 - £45,479 per annum, depending on experience, inclusive of London Allowance.
