The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences to enhance lives and improve wellbeing.

We are looking to recruit a part time Research Assistant to join an international team investigating the immune system.

The job holder will join the group of Dr Martin Turner within the Immunology Programme at Babraham. Duties will involve responsibility for genotyping assays, both in-house and outsourced and accurately recording the results, detailed record keeping, and responsibility for procurement, including ordering of consumables. In addition, the post holder will contribute to lab management involved in the day-to-day running of the laboratory.

We are specifically looking for candidates that have effective communication skills, the ability to multitask and work efficiently as a team-member. A careful and meticulous nature and attention to detail are essential. A BSc or MSc in the biological sciences is highly desirable. This is a part-time post with opportunities for flexible working including home working and may suit an individual returning to work following a career break.

This is a limited term appointment with funding for this post expected to be available for a period of 1 year in the first instance.

This is a part time position, the hours are flexible but there is a maximum of 15 hours per week available.
