Interested in teaching the next generation of child and adolescent researchers and psychotherapists?

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFC) supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. The Centre collaborates with UCL in offering a unique portfolio of postgraduate programmes in child and adolescent mental health, covering both clinical training and research, ranging from certificate to doctoral levels.

This two-year full-time MSc programme (previously called Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology) was recently restructured and is now in its first year. It has a predominant psychoanalytic approach and provides a comprehensive understanding of early child development and parenthood (prenatal to 5 years of age). Psychoanalytic theories are studied alongside contemporary research in developmental psychology and neuroscience, as well as different approaches to contemporary clinical practice. Students are able to apply their learning in a supervised clinical placement, a 2-year parent-infant observation, as well as a 2-year research project. The MSc has an intake of around 15 students each year (a total of 30 students when Year 1 students and Year 2 students are running concurrently).

We are currently recruiting for several roles for this MSc programme. We are looking for experienced, motivated and enthusiastic individuals.  Full Job Descriptions and Person Specifications and other relevant roles can be found at: annafreud.org/vacancies/

Interested applicants can apply to more than one role.
