The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) is a thriving group of health economists, with a varied research programme and a well-established reputation as a centre of excellence in this field.
 
As a Researcher in Health Economics you will review and summarise published literature, clean, format and conduct analyses and economic evaluation on economic/clinical data from Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) and/or large observational datasets, and interpret findings. You will also develop and implement new and/or existing research methodologies, manage your own research or project activities and coordinate multiple aspects of the work to meet deadlines and milestones.
 
To be considered, you will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil or an MSc with substantial relevant research experience. You will also have strong data analysis and programming skills, especially in statistical methods within health economics, have the ability to work independently, effectively, and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
 
The position is full time (part time considered) and on a fixed term for 1 year.
