The following central UCL funding schemes are accessible to prospective and current students for the Research Degree: Statistical Science and are currently accepting applications for September 2022.
UCL Graduate Research Scholarships (GRS)
These scholarships provide UK tuition fees and a maintenance stipend, and are available to students from any country.
UCL Overseas Research Scholarships (ORS)
These scholarships provide the difference between UK and Overseas tuition fees. They are sometimes awarded in conjunction with GRS.
CSC-UCL Research Scholarship
These scholarships, offered jointly by UCL and the China Scholarships Council (CSC), are available to citizens and permanent residents of the People’s Republic of China. They cover full tuition fees, living allowance, economy air travel to and from the UK and visa application fees.
Graduate Research Scholarships for Cross-disciplinary Training (One-Year)
These scholarships cover full UK and overseas tuition fees, a maintenance stipend and additional research costs of up to £1,200. They provide an opportunity to spend an additional year of your MPhil/PhD in another UCL department acquiring research skills and knowledge from a different discipline.
Further details on the four scholarships, including the full eligibility requirements and application procedures are available from the link below.
These schemes are highly competitive and the successful candidates will be chosen by a central UCL panel following a departmental shortlisting stage. There is no guarantee that any of the awards in a given year will be made to students from Statistical Science.
In all cases, candidates must first apply for admission to the Research Degree: Statistical Science at UCL and identify a prospective supervisor. The deadline for candidates to complete the admission and scholarship applications is 14 January 2022.
